celebrate my birthday this October 🎉

Real talk—I never imagined I’d make it to 32, far less have an amazing community of smart, funny, talented folks supporting me, my work, and my journey re-discovering myself as a neurodivergent being.

So this October, I’m inviting you, my community, to celebrate my birthday by helping me make my workspace more comfortable and functional. As a neurodivergent person, having a well-set-up desk makes a big difference in how I work, focus, and manage my energy. If you’ve been wanting to support me outside of buying one of my offers, here’s your chance!

Note: if you don’t have the means, or if it’ll be a stretch to send me something, a DM would be appreciated! Please don’t feel pressure to stretch yourself and spend money if you don’t have it.

help update my workspace 🧑🏾‍💻

I’ve put together a list of items I need to update my desk setup, making it a more comfortable and supportive space for me to work. My current desk setup does not allow me to be comfortable for very long, and that sucks when so much of my work is online!

I’ve also included a hobby fund if you'd like to contribute to my embroidery thread addiction 🫣

send a small token of support 🧧

If you’re not up for a big gift, I totally get it. You can still send some birthday love through my tip jar. Every little bit helps, and it’s an easy way to show support if you don’t want to drop 10s or 100s of dollars.

why no discounts, Sue-Jan?

As someone from the Global South, offering discounts to my mostly white audience doesn’t feel right. Being Black and neurodivergent means I’m already at a higher risk of being underpaid or exploited for my work, so discounts aren’t something I’m comfortable with—especially for an occasion like my birthday!

Supporting me through gifts and tips feels like a more fair way for my community to recognize the value of my work. It feels like a more meaningful way for to honour both myself and what I do!

thanks, bestie 💜

Thank you for celebrating with me, in whatever way you choose. Your support means a lot, and every bit helps me keep moving forward—both in my work and in life.

My birthday is on October 12th, but I’ll be celebrating all October long because I think I deserve it 😉
